Entrance gate and flanking wall to
Condlyffe Almshouses

GV II

Entrance gates with flanking wall to almshouses. Dated
1877(?). Brick and stone with ashlar dressings. 4-centred
central arch with hoodmould set beneath coped triangular gable
surmounted by cross finial, and with date and name of founder
(Elizabeth Condlyffe) on a shield. Low plinth wall (formerly
surmounted by cast-iron railings) flanks the gate on each
side. Included for group value.
