GV II

Lodge to Abbot Hall (qv). Mid to late C19 (not shown on 1st
edition Six Inch Ordnance Survey map surveyed in the late
1840s). Roughcast with hipped slate roof. Single storey. West
facade has one window to left and 2 to right of a gabled
porch. The windows are of 2 lights with mullions and have
narrow painted stone surrounds with projecting sills. They
have sashes with Gothick glazing. The porch doorway has a
segmental head and C20 glazed doors. The chimney, at the left
end of the ridge, has 2 limestone shafts of square plan.
