Public house. Probably mid or late C18. Painted roughcast with
slate roof. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys plus attic and 2
window bays. The windows have narrow painted stone surrounds
with projecting sills, and paired sashes with no glazing bars.
The 2 small gabled attic dormers are set in the upper part of
the roof slope and have C20 casements. There is a painted
stone cornice gutter. The doorcase, also of painted stone, has
slim engaged Tuscan columns and a flat moulded canopy on
fluted and shaped brackets. The 3 external concrete steps have
iron railings. Gable chimneys. INTERIOR: modest.
