Milestone. Early C19. Doulting stone pillar with cast iron plaque. Pillar
about 400mm wide and 250mm thick, 1.1 metre high with rounded top; plaque
about 400mm wide and 500mm deep with shouldered semi-cirular arched top and double ogee bottom; reads "Wincanton"- on curve" 1 Castle Cary 5" in
incised lettering, This road maintained by the Wincanton Trust from 1756.
