Mid C19 refronting of older inn, formerly "The Three Tuns" in the early C19 and "the Elephant and Castle" before that. Three storeys. Five windows. Stucco front with bracketted cornice, end parapet with segmental centre. Plain bands at floor levels. Architraved sash windows; ground floor with four-light window with cast iron colonnette mullions and segmental heads to lights. Entrance with pilasters and segmental pediment. Carriage entrance at south end.
