GV

House, now house and office. Late C18 or early C19, enlarged
and altered. Red and grey brick in Flemish bond (grey
headers), slate roofs. Double-pile plan. Two storeys and 4
bays; round-headed doorway to 2nd bay with open-pedimented
Roman Doric doorcase and fanlight with radiating glazing bars;
windows with raised sills and flat-arched heads of gauged
brick, all now top-hung casements with glazing bars;
modillioned eaves cornice (restored); gable chimneys.
Right-hand gable ends rendered. Interior altered. Forms group
with No.23 attached at left end (q.v.), and with Church of St
Wilfrid (etc) opposite (q.v.).
