Incorrectly shown on OS map as Higher Flaxpool Farmhouse. Farmhouse. Late 16 - early C17. Roughcast, probably over
cob, thatched roof, half hipped right, brick stack left gable end and to right of entrance. 3 cell and cross passage
plan. One and a half storeys, two 3-light dormer casements, ground floor 3-light casements in outer bays and 4-light
C17 octagonal aullioned window to right of entrance, plank door. Tiled bread oven projection on left return; brick
out-shot at rear. Interior: not viewed but appears to be remarkably unaltered.
