House. Early C19 possibly encasing part of an earlier building
(1808 Encl. Award Map). Later C19 service wing to right hand
and rear extensions. Cement rendered brick with imitation
masonry joints. Low pitched hipped slate roofs with tall ridge
stacks and rear stacks suggesting an earlier roof with higher
pitch. Two storeys and basement, five symmetrical 'bays' with
central 'bay' recessed above main entrance. Cast stone Tuscan
portico with stone steps, wide, nine-panelled door and
semi-circular fanlight with side lights. Twelve-paned recessed
hung sash windows with flat brick arches at both floor levels.
Ground floor windows larger with cast stone cornices supported
on console brackets. Interior details C19 include staircase in
staircase hall; some modern panelling.
