GV II

Detached house, formerly 2 cottages. East cottage, late C16-early C17, west
cottage early C19. Walls -east section - (left) of flint and brick banding,
west section (right) of brick - probably a facing on cob, with plat band at
first floor level. Buttress to this section. Thatched roof. One brick stack
at right end and one left of centre. Two storeys. Ledged door with small glass
panel. Ground and first floors each have 3 casement windows with cast iron
lights. Rear wall of plastered cob on flint base. C20 single-storey rear
extension, of brick with pantiled roof. In older section, main ground floor
room has deeply chamfered intersecting ceiling beams. Large fireplace - part
built up. First floor room retains oak lintel of blocked fireplace. In
left-hand section - first floor timbers removed. Large stone fireplace - rebuilt.
