2/14 Withy boiler at NGR ST 3584 3011

Withy boiler now disused. Early C20. Red brick, English bond casing to circular metal boiler with open top. Brick
chimney set square on west end with moulded plinth, blocked opening at ground level to right in boiler casing, small
blocked opening north-east corner. Circular face of boiler at east end rising above the brick casing which is 16
courses high, circular stoke hole. A well preserved example of a withy boiler of the circular type. Thought to have
been built in the late 1930s.
