Public House called the Steam Packet Inn, now Farmhouse. Early C19 red
sandstone and split cobbles on chamfered plinth with V-jointed quoins.
Graduated greenslate roof, brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Panelled
door in moulded pilastered surround with triglyph frieze and dentilled cornice.
Single-pane sash windows in plain painted stone surrounds. Roman altar built
into wall above entrance; for inscription see Collingwood & Wright, Roman
Inscribed Stones of Britain, 1965, p629.
