Nos 1, 3, 4 Long Ing
and attached Barn
II

A single cottage with weaving sheds and attached barn, now 3 cottages and
barn 1837. Coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, stone slate roofs and
coped gables with kneelers. A single gable and 2 ridge stacks. 3 storey
cottages, had a 3 light, then 2, 4 light flush ashlar mullion windows on
each floor, these have now been partially blocked, doors inserted and
many of the original plain sashes replaced with C20 casements. To the
left a single 3 light mullion window and a door with above on each floor
2 plain sashes. Attached at right angles a threshing barn, with a large
segment headed archway, then a small inserted window and a doorway beyond
a later addition with a blocked doorway and C20 sliding door, above a
plain sash. The barn roof has a collar beam roof with passing purlins.
