Includes: Drinking Fountain at junction with Coombs Road and
Station Road BASLOW ROAD.
Drinking fountain. c1870, altered. Ashlar sandstone on
gritstone plinth. The plinth of 3 hexagonal steps; the
fountain triangular and in Gothic Revival style.
Miniature diagonal buttresses with gablets; semi-circular
basins on columnar shafts set below large gables with
ball-flower ornament. On one side the original basin has been
removed. Ashlar spire with rustication, fishscale bands and a
large ball finial now surmounted by C20 street lamp having 3
lanterns.
