Gateway and length of railing to either side (approx 1 yd to east and approx 15 yds
to west), mid C18. Stuccoed round-arched gateway, rusticated, with Doric columns
supporting triglyph frieze and pediment. Rear elevation has rusticated Doric
pilasters. Wrought iron railings incorporate decorative panels, and carry scrolls
at either side of the gateway. Originally one of a pair of gateways flanking
Garendon Hall (demolished 1964).
