House and former barn. Dated and inscribed over rear entrance I & M T 1704,
with late C18 alterations and C20 extension. Painted roughcast walls,with eaves
cornice and V-jointed quoins, on chamfered plinth. Graduated greenslate roof,
repaired with Welsh slate, with coped gables and kneelers; dressed red sandstone
ridge and gable-end chimney stacks. Barn has mixed sandstone rubble walls,
under graduated sandstone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays, with left 3-bay
extension and right-angled barn at rear. Off-centre C20 door in alternate-block
surround under keyed lintel. Sash windows with glazing bars, those on
ground floor double, all in painted stone surrounds. Extension has low recessed
bay and projecting gable, all with double sash windows with glazing bars in
painted stone surrounds, the recess with C20 dormer windows. Rear left porch
has C20 door in alternate-block surround. Right dated doorway has
alternate-block surround. Off-centre round-headed staircase window with radial
glazing bars in head. Irregular fenestration of sash windows some of them
double, all in painted stone surrounds. Former barn has central plank door in
chamfered stone surround, in wall partly covered by ivy.
