24/24 Lowbyer Manor Hotel

G.V. II

Large house, now hotel, built at right-angles to road; late C18. Coursed,
squared rubble with quoins on chamfered plinth; lime-washed. Graduated slate
roof with stone copings and end chimneys (east chimney projects). Symmetrical
5-bay south elevation of 2 storeys and basement. Narrow central door with
rectangular fanlight, up steps. Sash windows, all with glazing bars except
basement. Central stair window at rear has 4-centred head; shallow gabled
projection to right is supported on brackets. Former barn range adjoining north
side at right-angles now (1983) part of hotel with inserted doors and windows.
