Formerly the Globe Inn. 1732, refronted circa 1840 with C19 addition at rear. Three storeys, cemented front, rusticated on ground floor, band below first floor windows, entablature at wall head, six windows, moulded architraves with brackets and cornices on first floor. Porch with fluted composite columns, eight-panelled door and fanlight, second doorway with architrave and fanlight. No. 16 with C19 doorway in passage with patterned fanlight. No. 20, fine C18 doorway in passage with wooden doorcase of Doric pilasters carrying entablature with decorated frieze, patterned fanlight and panelled door. Nos. 16 and 20 have good interior features.

Nos. 18A & 20B form a group with the rear of bios, 16 and 20 in the courtyard of the former Globe Inn.

Also Nos. 2 to 6 (even) 1,Nos. 12 14, 16 and Nos. 20 to 32 (even) form a group with Nos. 1 to 17 (odd) and Nos. 21 and 23 Crown Street.
