Farmhouse. Late C16 or early C17 with early C19 and c.1860 additions. Rough
cast render to C19 walls, and plaster with panelled decoration to original
timber-frame. Painted brick gable leanto to right hand. Two storey range to
left hand with hipped roof, end stack to west and ridge stack; original
building one storey and attic to right hand with central ridge stack and two
unit plan, (possibly originally single storeyed). Main entrance in closed
gabled porch with panelled door and rectangular fanlight; windows with flush
wooden frames and small paned horizontal sliding sashes, three at ground
floor and two at first floor. One dormer window with horizontal sliding sash
to right hand. Interior to original building; two inglenook hearths and
boxed staircase, exposed timber-frame of three bays, with queen struts to
side purlin roof.
