Pair of cottages, part of a group of estate cottages built by the Newman family (q.v.
parish church and Coryton House). Mid to late C19. Stone rubble with granite
dressings and asbestos slate hipped roof gableted at ends. Central stone stack with
brick shaft on ridge. Double depth plan, 2 cottages heated from central stack.
Stone gabled porches on front at left and right. Ground floor windows 3-light
casements, 4-panes per light; first floor windows similar 2-light casements. Part of
an attractive group of mid to late C19 estate cottages.
