Lodge. C18-C19. Ashlar limestone, slate roof, limestone coping, brick stacks. Rectangular plan with C20 extension set back on left. One storey. One window to ground floor. 3-light C20 metal casement flanked by pilasters with moulded capitals. Moulded triangular pediment spans facade. Entrance at rear. Flat gable coping, central axial stack from main body, chimney pot behind; stack from extension left also. Interior not inspected.

Gate piers and wrought iron railings outside Troopers Lodge. C19, two square limestone piers about 2m in height with corners cut away and moulded caps with pyramidal tops. Large rectangular pier of similar design far left. Wrought iron spear headed railing with loop decoration where railing meets piers.

The asset was previously listed thrice also under List entries 1089550 and 1171795. These entries were removed from the List on 5 April 2017.
