6/279 Watford Court Coach House

GV II

Coach House, now house. Late C17, remodelled as dwelling c.1975. Coursed
ironstone rubble, squared quoins, string course at first floor level, tile roof,
brick stacks. 2 storeys; 6 bays. Doorway in second bay from right has moulded
stone hood, plain stone surround and C20 door. Similar doorway in second bay
from left with plank door. C18 carriage entrances with ashlar surrounded arches
in third, fourth and fifth bays from left have C20 glazed sun room built across
them. 2-light stone-mullioned windows with moulded stone surrounds in left and
right bays and third bay from right on the ground floor. Similar window to first
floor with 3-light stone mullioned window in second bay from riqht. Mullions
mostly renewed. Coped gable ends. Interior: remodelled C20. Formerly Coach House
to Watford Court, demolished c.1974. Included for group value.
