House. Early C18. Coursed ironstone rubble, chamfered quoins, slate roof,
flanking stone stacks. Lobby-entry plan. 2 storeys, attic and cellar; 5 bays.
Central doorway has moulded stone frame with keyblock and C20 door with
overlight. Window to left with wood lintel and 2-light transomed wood casement.
All other windows have moulded stone frames and 2-light transomed wood
casements. String course at first floor level. Flat roofed dormer. Coped gable
ends with kneelers. Interior: stop chamfered spine beams. Original winder stair
opposite entrance with old plank door to cellar. Formerly a Public House, known
as "Berryfields Inn" and later "The Castle Inn".
