Road bridge over railway line. Circa 1842 by I.K. Brunel. Red brick with some lias dressings. Single elegant segmental
arch spanning double track railway in a cutting at right-angles, head of arch with brick voussoirs, ornamental square
lias voussoirs at intervals. Brick band at roadway level, brick parapets with plain lias cappings. Roadway raises
slippy over centre of bridge. Good unaltered C19 example of railway architecture. An unaltered example of a 'flying'
bridge characteristic of the Bristol and Exeter Railway, later the G.W.R.
