metres South East of chancel,

Village stocks. Late C18-early C19. Restored early C20. Wooden stocks about one and a half metres long and 400 cm high,
5 circular openings, cast iron hinges either end with padlock inscribed 'V R Patent' below a crown. There is an early
C20 bench in St George's Church (qv) carved with a depiction of the stocks in the shade of the large yew tree where
they still stand. Listed primarily for historic interest.
