Terrace of shops with dwelling premises above. Circa 1825. 3 storeys
with attics; gault brick; small stone cornice below parapet and stone band
at first floor cill level. Continuous wall, 2 windows on each upper floor
to each shop with flat brick arches; some glazing bars missing; some with
wrought iron window guards. Modern ground floor fronts to Nos 2, 5, 6,
7, 9 and 10, the others have the original shop fronts with the glazing
bars missing with panelled pilasters with caps and pedestals either side
of central and side doors, supporting continuous entablature; Nos 7, 8
and 10 retain original ornamental fanlight over door. The premises on
left of No 1 (part of shop in Trinity Street) (qv) has similar shop front
to Rose Crescent. There is a through archway between Nos 3 and 4, No 11
has an iron lamp bracket and lamp. (RCHM 159).
