House. C16. Timber-framed with brick infilling; tiled roof and external chimney stack at right. 2 storeys, 1 window. Projecting early C19 weatherboarded wing with gable end and tiled roof. Modern shop window and panelled door. Leaded casement windows in box frames. At right a 1-storey brick, double-span building, a former cobbler's shop. Probably late C18 but with some old timber-framed
structure behind. Wide, square paned shop window. INTERIOR: not inspected but reported as having exposed framing and inglenook. Number 4 High Street is not of special interest.
