Pair cottages. Probably both C18. Local stone coursed rubble; asbestos cement slate roof; brick chimney stacks. 2
storeys; 4 bays of which Little Sundial represents bay 1. 3-light casements with timber lintol to bay 1, with
part-glazed door under pitched metal roof hood to right; remainder has 16-pane sash windows above and 4-pane sashes
below, all under timber lintols; below in bay 3 a part glazed door in timber lattice porch with metal bell-hip roof;
between window upper bays 3 and 4 a plaque with painted sundial, probably C18. Interior contains four late C18-early
C19 wall paintings reported to have been made by Napoleonic prisoners of war. In the entrance hall the printing depicts
a couple sitting at a table being entertained. In the front right-hand room in the fireplace alcove there is a small
painting of a military officer on horseback. In the front left-hand room there are two half life-size figures of a man
and woman in period costume.
