Chest tomb. Late C18. Limestone. Stepped plinth. Bombe chest with inscriptions
supporting triangular obelisk with concave sides on circuar base with foliage
panels in low reliefs. Obelisk topped by flame finial, formerly on top of gilded
ball. Commemorates John Parkhurst, lexicographer, who died 1765.
