House. Formerly school and school house; "Rectory School 1849" on
tablet. In the Gothick style. 1 storey, the schoolhouse 1
storey and attics. Knapped flint with gault brick dressings;
parapet gables with copings, carved kneelers and octagonal
finials, all of limestone. Fishscale slated roofs with
decorative ridge tiles; hipped slated casement dormers. A group
of 3 circular chimneys with patterning in carved gault brick and
moulded rendered octagonal bases. Large school room windows,
arched with limestone hoodmoulds and curved glazing bars.
Elsewhere, hoodmoulded windows with splayed brick reveals and
leaded casements. 1 storey parapet-gabled slated entrance porch
with hood-moulded arched doorway; battened door with arched
fanlight.
