Threshing barn. C18.
EXTERIOR: Timberframed sides, covered in weatherboarding, on deep brick plinth but the ends are of brick in Sussex bond with three tiers of ventilation slits. Tiled roof, half-hipped to the ends with weatherboarding to the gables. Off central double cart entrances.
INTERIOR: Seven bays. The wall frame has jowled principal posts with chamfered profiles, unusual staggered midrails and diagonal tension braces. The roof structure has two tiers of staggered purlins, angled queenposts, collar beams and retains the original rafters with ridgepiece.
Large unaltered C18 threshing barn, part of a group of farm buildings.
