GV II
First World War memorial. Erected 1917. Designed by F. Bligh Bond; sculptor Herbert Reed of Exeter. A white Portland stone canopied Calvary with an octagonal cross standing on a grey Doulting stone stepped octagonal plinth, inscribed:- "To the Memory of the Brave Men of Ilminster who gave their lives for their Country in the Great War 1914- ".
A First World War memorial by a distinguished church restoration architect and church sculptor.
