Description

Late 18th or early 19th century altered Mid 19th
U-plan steading with central farmhouse byre to right and
barn to left. House 2-storey 3-window (door and 1st floor
window left of centre) rubble with droved ashlar dressings
and raised margins, modern false quoin and voussoir
doorpiece. Slated roof with ashlar stocks broad eaves at
gables on end corbels. Rendered rear with small single
storey addition to right. Reglazed steading buildings
whitewashed rubble, single storey. Lean to catslide addition
along outer flank of byre, haystore along outer flank of
barn, open timber colonnade with corrigated iron roof.
Higher wing with ashlar chimney (? former washhouse) at
house end of byre. Slated roofs, front gables formerly with
broad eaves of which end corbels remain.
