Description

Late 18th century. 2-storey, 3-bay farmhouse. Rubble whinstone with grey ashlar dressings; harled sides and rear. Gabled timber porch added to doorway at centre of W elevation; windows in flanking bays and to each bay at 1st floor. Lean-to addition at rear to S. 4-pane glazing pattern in sash and case windows. Purple slates, end stacks.

Statement of Interest

Sited at crossroads, close to Morham Mains Cottages, and may have served originally as Morham Main farmhouse, before 19th century replacement to S.Listed for its striking colour contrast, prominent position and as example of standard farmhouse form.
