Description

Later 19th century reworking of earlier cottage. 2-storey, 3-bay house with 2nd storey breaking eaves in gabled dormerheads. Natural harl to rubble whinstone; grey sandstone ashlar dressings.

N ELEVATION: door at centre with stone bracketted slab canopy, boarded door with 2-pane fanlight. Windows flanking at ground and 1st floor. Blank E elevation. 8-pane glazing pattern to sash and case windows. Overhanging eaves with timber brackets and exposed rafters; kingposts to dormerheads. Grey slates. Coped stacks in polychrone brick.

The cottage is fully modernised and contains 4 apartments (sales brochure). It was built as the foreman's residence.
