Description

Mid to later 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 5-bay range. Dark

squared local whinstone, tooled granite ashlar dressings. Blocked (as window) centre entrance with pilastered doorpiece; doorways (later insertions) in bays 2 and 4. Regular lst floor fenestration; 3 later box dormers.

Single window in ground floor of return bay to St. Catherine's Street. 12-pane glazing in ground floor windows; 4-pane in lst floor, plate glass in dormers, all timber sash and case. Projecting bowed rear stairwell with piended roof.

Corniced end stacks; purple Welsh slate roofs.

REAR GARDEN WALLS: high rear rubble garden walls,

replaced at W by concrete blocks in order to separate former stables, now Meridith Mews.
