Description

Built 1814, tower 1854. Hall church with tower to SE of nave;
hall adjoining to W. Granite rubble walling, with red
sandstone quoins and dressings, bull-faced granite tower.
4-bay nave with simple square-headed sash windows; 24-pane
glazing, smaller window with leaded glazing to SE.
3-stage granite tower with door to E. Band courses between
stages, pointed arch louvered openings at 3rd stage. Granite
pinnacles at angles flanking pediment detail at parapet to W,
porch linking hall to church, doorway with pointed-arch
traceried fanlight, crowstepped gablet above with small
lancet. Slate roofs.
Interior: gallery to W entered by stair in porch, good carved
oak doorcase at entrance to nave, modern furniture. Single
storey and basement hall with piended roof. Modern bungalow
adjoins hall to rear.
Coped rubble wall to churchyard supports cast-iron railings.
2 pairs of rusticated red sandstone coped gatepiers.
