Description

Mid 19th century. 2-storey, 4-bay terraced group, with raised basement. Droved ashlar sandstone to front with polished ashlar dressings. Badly eroded band course between ground and 1st floor; eaves cornice and blocking course. Projecting window cills.

SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Triple doorcase with pilasters and entablature at centre (painted); panelled doors with rectangular plate glass fanlights above. Regularly fenestrated with basement windows and 3 small rooflights.

NE ELEVATION: not seen (1995).

4-pane timber sash and case windows to outer right bay at ground floor and basement; 1st floor bays 1 and 2. Modern plate glass to remaining windows. Concrete tiled roof with ashlar skew copes. Rendered and coped mutual multi-flue wallhead stack. 7 stone steps oversailing basement.

INTERIOR: not seen (1995).

BOUNDARY WALL: droved ashlar dwarf wall with coping to street.

RAILINGS: some original sections remaining between gardens.
