Description

Probably 1870/80. "Thomsonesque" double villa. 2 storeys, asymmetrical 2-bay centre with pilastraded 1st floor window at left above bracketted balcony, gabled right bay shallow advanced, 1st floor bipartite with Egyptian-derived cavetto-moulded pediment with anthemion finial; full-height recessed bay either side each with porch in angle supported on single column (column at no 113 replaced); conservatory on either flank originally, set between floors and raised on high base, original timber frame and glazing retained at No 113, but replaced at No 109. Squared rubble, ashlar dressings, originally sash windows, some now removed at No 113.

Broad-eaved slate roofs; end ridge stacks.

Set behind low boundary walls, gatepiers like those at Thomson's Ellisland (1871).
