Description

Chief Engineer WW Lackie of Glasgow Corporation Electricity Department, 1908 for Glasgow Corporation Electricity Department. Electricity substation, villa-like in appearance, to harmonise with the surrounding residential development. 2-storey elevations, snecked rubble, ashlar dressings, mullioned windows wiht small paned sashes. 3-bay L-plan front, wide entrance central; piended roof with bracketted projecting eaves, axial ventilator. Plainer long flank to Ellangowan Road. Iron-railed low boundary walls, parallel gatepiers.
