Description

Peter MacGregor Chalmers, completed 1915. Romanesque church with flank to street; rock-faced ashlar, polished dressings; aisled tall nave, chancel to left with apse, and gabled side chapel at right, porch is base of intended square tower, main roof swept over, arched and moulded doorway; paired clearstorey lights. Slate roofs. Extensive series of halls to left, deeply recessed from street, mullioned 2-storey canted gable end. Enclosed by wrought-iron gates and railings.
