History

Earlier C19.

Exterior

Terraced house, unpainted roughcast and stucco with slate eaves roof, bracketed eaves, and rendered left end stack. Two-storey three-window range, plate glass sashes to upper floor, plastic C20 windows below, all replacing original 12-pane windows. Centre original 6-panel door and overlight in panelled timber doorcase with thin side piers, entablature and cornice.

Stucco window surrounds as on Nos 7 and 8, sill band and channelled angle strips. Painted slate sills.

Reasons for Listing

Group value with adjoining terraced houses despite altered windows. One of the seven houses marked on 'Marinors Street' on 1847 Tithe Map, probably the northernmost of the row.
