History

1896. Designed by William Harpur, Borough Engineer of Cardiff.

Exterior

Sited to NW of main hospital building and within the former compound.
Short one-storey building divided into wash-house and ironing-room. Cement render on red brick, slate roof with tiled crestings, central chimney stack and raised clerestory/ventilator with seperate pitched roof to W. 3 window seaward front, 4 window inland (2-light timber frames missing). Doorways to each end.

Derelict condition (Autumn 1997).
