Description: Late C18 turnpike milestone. Laminated sandstone pillar with a rounded top, formerly painted, bearing incised lettering reading:

HAY / 7 / (B)UILTH / 12

The top bears an incised bench mark arrow.

Included as a monument to the turnpike era of road transport.
