Gate lodge to Flete qv. Circa 1830-40, probably contemporary with the 1835
remodelling of Flete qv and incorporating some C16 granite details probably from
Flete. Slate rubble with granite dressings. Scantle slate roof with gabled ends.
One storey. Three bays. Central gabled porch with C16 moulded granite coping,
four-centred arch doorway with ledged door and two plain shields above. Right hand
reused two-light stone mullion window with carved stops to the hood mould. Left hand
built forward late in C19 but reusing two-light granite window. South west gable end
has reused three-light granite window, the hood mould having carved stops. Rendered
chimney stacks with moulded caps. C20 flat roof wing at rear (south east).
