SX 76 NE STAVERTON WOOLSTON GREEN

Farmhouse. Circa C17 with early C19 wing and alterations. Stone rubble. Scantle
slate roof with gabled ends. Two storeys. Three window range and C19 wing to left
(south west) forming L-shaped plan, also with three window range. Right-hand of
main range set back slightly. Large C19 two-light casements with glazing bars,
ground floor with flat stone arches. Central doorway with plank panel door moulded
doorcase and C20 glazed porch with sundial above dated 1662 and with Woolston arms.
Large rendered chimney stack at right-hand (east) gable end and another in rear
wall. Outshut and short gabled wing at rear. Pigeon holes in gable of south west
wing. Interior: stopped and chamfered ceiling beams and fireplace at east end with
ovolo moulded wooden bressummer.
