6/9 Ford Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C18 or early C19 with C20 addition. Rendered stone rubble walls.
Hipped slate roof. Brick stacks at either end.
Plan: Double depth plan, 2 rooms wide. 2 principal rooms at the front either
side of a central entrance and stairhall C20 addition at right-hand end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window front. At centre on 1st floor is a 12
pane sash, the outer windows are tripartite and probably later C19 replicas of the
original ones. Original central doorhood with modillion cornice on probably
replacement wooden pillars. Late C18 or early C19 6 panel door behind with
rectangular fanlight above. Modillion eaves cornice. Lower C20 addition at
right-hand end.
Interior: Inaccessible at time of survey but may contain original joinery such as
staircase, panelled shutters and doors etc. To include low stone garden wall at
front with railings above and central gateway.
