8/50 Church Gate Cottage

House. Circa late C17. Plastered rubble walls. Hipped thatch roof. Rendered
rubble axial stack.
Plan: 3-room plan. Axial stack divides 2 rooms at the front. The entrance is in
the right-hand end and there is a small room behind it.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2 window front, 3 windows below: of C20 2 and
3-light casements. In right-hand end wall is late C18 or early C19 20-pane
hornless sash, above it is an early C20 2-light casement. To their left is a C20
plank door beneath a thatch hood.
Interior: inaccessible at time of survey but may contain features such as
ceiling beams and open fireplaces.
