Pair of cotteges. Circa mid C17. Rendered rubble and cob walls. Gable ended
thatch roof. Brick stack at right gable end, axial rubble stack and similar one
at the left gable end.
Plan: each cottage is of 2-room plan although No, 2 to the left may be the
earlier with each room heated by an end stack.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2 : 2 window front. No. 2 to the left has C19
2 and 3-light casements and a large C18 or C19 thatched roof porch under catslide
roof which has a C20 plank door behind. No. 1 to the right has C20 1, 2 and 3-
light casements and a C20 stable-type door to right of centre under a thatch
hood.
Interior: inaccessible at time of survey but No. 1 has an open fireplace with
chamfered wooden lintel in the right-hand room and No. 2 has substantial ceiling
beams, one of them forked.
