4/87 Broadway Cottage

G. V. II

Cottage. Probably C18 extended in C19. Rendered rubble walls. Gable ended thatch
roof, with stone coping at right-hand end. Brick stack at each gable end.
Plan: 2-room plan, roughly equal-sized, both heated by an end stack. C19
addition at left-hand end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Roadside elevation has a C19 plank door at the centre with
an early C19 16-pane hornless sash to its left on the ground floor and a later C19
4-pane sash in the single storey addition at the left-hand end. The rear
elevation has mid C20 diamond-leaded pane casements and a large C20 conservatory.
Interior: inaccessible at time of survey.
