House formerly farmhouse. Circa early - mid C17 with C19 addition, altered and
extended in C20. Rendered stone rubble walls. Gable ended natural slate roof.
Rendered rubble axial stack and rendered brick stack at each gable end, the right-hand one is a C20 insertion.
Plan: originally 3-room-and-through passage plan with lower room to the left
which may always have been heated. Hall stack backs onto passage and it has a
window bay at the front. Partition between hall and narrow inner room removed in
late C20. C19 leanto and late C20 addition at rear.
Exterior: 2 storeys, Asymmetrical 4-window front of C20, 1, 2 and 3-light
casements, most with small panes. Projecting gabled 2 storey bay to right of
centre. To left of centre is a late C20 glazed door recessed behind a slate hood
on wooden posts. Leanto along rear wall with late C20 single storey addition
behind it.
Interior: C18 fielded 2-panel door into left-hand room. Fireplace in right-hand
room has been altered but retains its roughly chamfered wooden lintel and oven in left-hend side. All ceilings replaced and no sign of early roof timbers on Ist floor.
